Awakening the
Chakras with Lucy Cimini
Learn the significance, location, colors, sounds and
Yoga postures that correspond to the seven main
Chakras (energy centers) of the human subtle body.
What is a Chakra Exactly? Chakras are
our energy centers. They are the openings for life energy to flow
into and out of our aura. Their function is to vitalize the physical
body and to bring about the development of our self-consciousness.
They are associated with our physical, mental and emotional
interactions.
In this workshop we will be focusing on each individual chakra. We
will talk about the colors associated with each chakra, learn the
physical location of them, explore what purposes they serve,
discover which physical dysfunctions are associated with each
chakra, and learn what types of information is stored in each of the
chakras, etc. This should prove to be an educational and an
enjoyable journey.

Equanimity with
Sharon Salzberg
Equanimity is a spacious stillness of mind that
allows us to be with things as they simply are. It does not imply
indifference, however. Rather, when equanimity is present, it is the
ground out of which sustained transformation can occur. It is also
the foundation for the boundless arising of other qualities of the
mind and heart, such as lovingkindness and compassion. This workshop
is suitable for both new and experienced meditators, and will
consist of guided meditations, talks and time for questions and
answers.
SHARON SALZBERG is cofounder of the Insight Meditation Society (IMS)
in Barre, Massachusetts. She has been a student of Buddhism since
1971, guiding meditation retreats worldwide since 1974. Sharon's
latest book is The Kindness Handbook, published by Sounds True. She
is also the author of The Force of Kindness, published by Sounds
True; Faith: Trusting Your Own Deepest Experience, published by
Riverhead Books; and Lovingkindness: The Revolutionary Art of
Happiness, published by Shambhala Publications. For more information
